MasterTrends began in 2014 as a repair bench that also sold a few watches. People kept asking the same thing about the watches on the shelf - what is inside it? - and half the brands on that shelf would not say.
So we started building our own. Five brands now, each with a narrow job: Brakken makes divers, Vossler chronographs, Aldric dress watches, Norvane thin minimalist pieces, and Verdel open-worked movements.
We do not make our own calibres and we do not pretend to. We buy from Seiko, Miyota, Sellita, Soprod and Ronda, then design the case, dial and bracelet around them, regulate the automatics in six positions, and pressure-test every diver.
A watch any competent watchmaker can open and service, anywhere, with parts they can order themselves. Nothing is locked to us. If we disappeared tomorrow, your watch would still be repairable - which is more than can be said for a lot of fashion-brand watches at the same price.

Regulation, pressure testing, final inspection and every warranty repair happen at the same bench.
Automatics are timed in six positions and adjusted before they are boxed.
Every diver goes in the pressure chamber - not a sample from the batch.

Warranty work and paid services come back to the same bench.
