Movements & accuracy

Seiko (NH35, NH38, NH70), Miyota (9015, 9039, 8215), Sellita (SW200-1, SW300-1), Soprod (M100) and Ronda Swiss quartz. Every product page names the exact calibre, its jewel count, beat rate and power reserve.

It is more accurate - a Ronda 763 will hold about ten seconds a month, while a good automatic drifts a few seconds a day. You buy the automatic for the mechanism, not the timekeeping.

Within the rated tolerance of an NH35, no. If it drifts outside the rated accuracy on the product page, send it in - one regulation is free within the warranty.

A quartz timekeeping module with a mechanical chronograph on top, so the stopwatch hand snaps back on reset the way a mechanical chronograph does. Seiko VK63 and VK64 in our range.

Wear it daily and the rotor keeps it going. If it stops, wind 20 to 30 turns of the crown and set the time. All our automatics hand-wind and hack (the seconds hand stops when you pull the crown).

Choosing & sizing

Measure your wrist and use the table in the sizing guide - and look at lug-to-lug rather than just diameter. That is the number that decides whether it sits flat.

Yes. Tick the compare icon on any card, up to three, then open the compare table - it puts diameter, thickness, lug-to-lug, weight, movement and water resistance side by side and marks the better value where "better" is defined.

Free of charge - put your wrist measurement in the order note. Otherwise it ships at 205 mm with spare links and a tool.

Shipping & returns

Always, on every order, at every price. Free above €750,00, otherwise €9,95.

Two to four working days across the EU and the UK; next working day on express if you order before 14:00 CET.

Returns need the watch unworn with the protective stickers and the box, within 30 days. If it has been on the wrist outdoors we cannot resell it as new.

Not yet. Switzerland, Norway and the US are planned - the restock newsletter gets told first.

Warranty & service

2 years on the movement plus one free regulation. Full list of what is in and out on the warranty page.

A full automatic service is €180,00, mecha-quartz €90,00, quartz €45,00, battery only €15,00. We quote before starting.

Yes, and that is the point of using these calibres. Parts are not locked to us - any competent watchmaker can order them.

Depends on the rating. 100 m and up, yes. 50 m, splashes only. There is a plain-English table on the warranty page.
